Head Coach - 17 Select: Emma Orton
Hi! My name is Emma Orton-Platt from Tucson, Arizona. I’m a junior at Lander University. I have played volleyball since I was 13 where I started as an awkward baby giraffe on an open national team. I traveled all over the States. My senior year, my team won silver at nationals in the national division. I then went to Eastern Arizona College, started both years for the Monsters as a middle blocker, ranking 2nd in my division for blocking. I transferred to Lander this year to continue my education and love for volleyball. I will graduate in 2026 with Bachelors in Criminology. I have managed men’s volleyball during high-school and absolutely love coaching. I can’t wait to help others learn to love the sport I love. Volleyball takes grit, determination and heart. Developing these characteristics while learning to love yourself and learning respect for the game is my goal.
